ARA-------------------------One youth of Mahadalit community was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Dechana Bal village under Piro police station on Bihia-Bihata State Highway. The deceased was identified as Prabhu Musahar 30 son of Bihari Musahar of Pachrukhia village under Hasan Bazaar police station. Irate villagers blocked the road near Dechana Bal village for about four hours with the body of the deceased and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres on the road and raised slogans against the Bhojpur district administration. They were demanding arrest of the driver of the vehicle and compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after positive response of police personnel. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Rs. 3000 was given on spot under the Kabir Antyeshti Scheme.
Sources said that Prabhu Musahar of Pachrukhia village had come his in-laws house at Dechana Bal village. In the night on was crossing the road when a speeding vehicle knocked him down and killed him on spot.
