YOUTH CRUSHED TO DEATH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara, 27 June 2023, (RNI): One youth was killed when a speeding truck collided head-on with his motorcycle near Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district. The driver of the truck escaped from the scene leaving the truck behind. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police also seized truck. The deceased was identified as Praveen Kumar son of Vishram Rai of Bichhiaw village under Sandesh police station. As the news spread, irate villagers blocked the Ara-Arwal main road for about two hours and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They were demanding arrest of the driver of the truck and compensation for the family members of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after positive response of police officials. 

SHO Udwantnagar police station Awadhesh Kumar said that Praveen Kumar had gone to his maternal uncle at Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station. He was returning his native village on his motorcycle in the afternoon on June 26, 2023 and when he reached on Ara-Arwal main road, a speeding truck collided head-on with the motorcycle killing Praveen Kumar on spot. The driver escaped from the scene leaving the truck behind.

Praveen Kumar married to a girl of Mohbalipur village in Patna district on May 30, 2023 at the Sun temple at Belaur and he died just 27 days of the marriage near Belaur where he had tied nuptial knot.
