YOUTH CRUSHED TO DEATH
One motorcycle borne youth was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Andhari Tola village under Chauri police station on Nasariganj-Sakaddi main road in Bhojpur district.
Ara, 31 May 2023, (RNI): One motorcycle borne youth was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Andhari Tola village under Chauri police station on Nasariganj-Sakaddi main road in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Ramesh Sharma 25 son of Bababn Chaudhary of Bathani Tola village. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. His marriage was scheduled to be solemnized on June 8, 2023.
SHO Chauri police station Kumar Rajanikant said that Ramesh Kumar was returning home from Nasariganj area after distributing invitation of his marriage and when he reached near Andhari Tola village, a speeding truck collided head-on with his motorcycle killing him on spot.
As the news of his death spread, the villagers blocked the Nasariganj-Sakaddi main road with the body and paralyzed movement of vehicles for two hours. They demanded arrest of the driver of the truck and compensation for the family members of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after assurance of the BDO Chanda Kumari to give Rs. 20,000 compensation under the family benefit scheme. Mukhia Samresh Singh gave Rs.3000 on spot under Kabir Antyesti Scheme.
