ARA (RNI) A seven day Sri Shiva Purana Katha has been organized at Sri Sahadevgiri Temple, Katira under the joint auspices of Sri Sanatan Shaktipeeth Sansthanam and Sanatan-Sursari seva Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Dr. Bharat Bhushan Pandey Ji Maharaja said that Lord Shiva is Vedmaya. By worshiping him, all the gods, all the alphabets, all the letters and all the verses are worshiped. He said that Lord Shiva himself is God while Jagadamba Parvati-Durga, his power, Ganapati and Kartikeya his sons, Surya-Moon his eyes and Lord Vishnu his heart. With the worship of only Shiva, the worship of Panchadeva is completed. Acharya said that the worship of Lord Shiva provides all the desired results. While narrating the story of Rudra Samhita, Parvati Khand, Acharya said that Brahmin wives preach Pativratya Dharma to Jagadamba Parvati. He said that for a woman, husband is supreme and a faithful woman is the basis of family life, the root of religion, the root of all happiness and the root of growth of lineage. Whenever the feet of a devoted woman touch the earth, the land there become free from sins and becomes supremely pure.
Sanjay Dwiwedi of Prayagraj conducted Saparikar Puja and Rudrabhishek of Lord Sambasadashiv. Dr. P Singh, Madhuri Singh, Vijay Tiwari, Abhishek Srivastava and other participated in the worship of Lord Shiva.
He further said that fruits of all the pilgrimages across the earth are given to the parents. This is achieved only by serving and taking care of it systematically. Explain the Kumar Khand of Rudra Samhita, Acharya said that for the marriage of Swami Kartikeya and Ganesh Ji, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati made a rule that the one who will circumambulate the entire earth and return soon will get married first. Swamit Kartikeya left for the circumambulation of the earth and after taking bath, Lord Ganesh made Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati sit on two divine seats, worshiped them ritually and circumambulated seven times. As a result, Lord Ganesh got married to Vishwakarma’s daughters Siddhi and Buddi and from them born his two divine sons, Kshema and Labh. After many days, Kartikeya Swami returned after circling the earth and after knowing about the marriage of Lord Ganesha, he went to kraunch mountain where he followed the vow of celibacy throughout his life. Our of love for their son, Parvati and Shiv also started living in the same form as Mallikarjujna Jyotilinga on the same mountain. On every Kartik Purnima, there is a tradition of special darshan and worship of Kumar Swami Kartikeya due to which all the sins are destroyed and all the desired things are achieved.
