ARA-------------------------Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) Indu Devi and the Municipal Commissioner, AMC, Anju Kumari jointly inaugurated the workshop of Prime Minister (PM) Internship Scheme in Ara Municipal Corporation campus today by lighting the ceremonial candle.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Indu Devi said that there will be a 12-month internship in the workshop and the participants will be given stipend of Rs. 5000 per month. She said that there will be a minimum of 6 months of experience in a working environment and added that there will be a free grant of 6000 for incidental expenses. Certificates will be distributed after completion of the internship. She stated that this benefit is being given under the PM Internship Scheme.

Municipal Commissioner, AMC, Anju Kumari said that ‘Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme’ has been stared in the announcement of Budget 2024-2025 by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India with the objective to provide one crore youth in the age group of 21 to 24 years the opportunity to work as an intern for one year with top 500 companies to learn business experience so that they can develop as a successful employees and a successful businessmen in the future. She stated that the minimum age limit should be21 and maximum 24 years. She said government servants are not allowed in the workshop.

Mayor Indu Devi, Municipal Commissioner, Anju Kumari, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Komal Kumari, Town Manager Priyank Rai, K N Pandey, Sanitation-in-charge Vikas Kumar, Divya Vikas, Ward Councilor Representative Ward No 40 Rahul Kumar, Councilor Representative Ward No 12, Abhay Srivastava, Councilor Representative Ward No 22 Vibhu Jain, Councilor Ward No 40 Rajiv Kumar, Councilor Ward No 39 Ankit Kumar, Councilor Ward No 21 Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Councilor Ward No 31 Prayag Yadav, Councilor Representative Ward No 35 Arun Kumar, Councilor Ward No 4 Srikant and all the employees of the AMC were present.
