ARA------------------------One married woman Awanti Devi 32 wife of Sanjay Kumar spread rumour that her relatives had shot at and injured her at Gadaha village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district. She put some ‘alata’ (red colour) on her feet and falsely reported the police that her relatives had shot at and injured her. The police at once reached there and rushed the woman to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor exposed her and denied any incident of firing and confirmed that the woman had put some red colour on her feet. The statement of the doctor surprised the police and others and later the police took her to the Udwantnagar police station for further investigation.
SHO Udwantnagar police station Awadhesh Kumar said that Awanti Devi had property dispute with her relatives and she and her relatives embroiled into brawl. Later Awanti Devi, with a view to implicate her relatives, spread rumour in the village that her relatives had shot at and injured her. Awanti Devi said that at least three persons had share in the house she lived in and they were reluctant to give her share and also threatened to grab her share instead. When she protested, her relatives abused and also shot at and injured her. The brother of the woman informed the police that his relatives shot at his sister. The police rescued the woman and rushed her to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor flatly refused firing.
