One woman died during delivery at an illegal private nursing home at Dinara Bazaar in Rohtas district. After her death the family members and villagers went on rampage. The doctor and the employees of the illegal private nursing home fled away from the scene. It is pertinent to mention here that the Rohtas Civil Surgeon had ordered to close the private nursing home Deepak Hospital in the August 2023. Despite the hospital was running with impunity. The deceased was identified as Asha Devi wife of Sonu Paswan of Sisaundha village under Dhansoi police station in Rohtas district.

The deceased was identified as Asha Devi wife of Sonu Paswan of Sisaundha village under Dhansoi police station in Rohtas district.
Guddu Kumar brother of Ashan Devi said that his sister complained labour pain and so she was admitted to a private nursing home Deepak Hospital for delivery where the doctor operated on her but she breathed her last just after the operation due to dereliction of duty on part of doctor. As the news of death spread, the family members and villagers became agitated and went of rampage. The police could subsided the matter after much efforts.
SHO Dhansoi police station Roushan Kumar said that the family members have not given petition so far and so no legal action could be initiated so far.
It may be said that the Civil Surgeon, Rohtas, on August 24, 2023 had conducted raids at different nursing homes running illegally in Dinara areas and had inquired into the Deepak Hospital but the doctors, owners and the employees were not present at that time. After that the CS had issued notices on 10 private nursing homes including the Deepak Hospital to close but the Deepak Hospital did not pay heed to the notice and ran the hospital with impunity.
Medical Officer-in-Charge, Dinara Ashish Kumar said that a number of hospitals and pathologies are being run at Dinara without banner and registration illegally and added that they could not even know that hospitals and pathologies are running inside the houses and whenever such information came, action is taken.
Civil Surgeon K N Tiwari said that if this kind of thing is coming light, inquiry will once again be held and illegal hospitals and pathologies will be closed. He added stern legal action would be taken against the recalcitrant.
