WIDOW THRASHED BADLY FOR INSTITUTING FIR IN PROTEST AGAINST MORTGAGING LAND
In a bizarre incident, a widow was badly thrashed till she fell to the ground unconscious at Badahari village under the same police outpost in Rohtas district after she returned from the police station.
Sasaram, 21 July 2023, (RNI): In a bizarre incident, a widow was badly thrashed till she fell to the ground unconscious at Badahari village under the same police outpost in Rohtas district after she returned from the police station. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Badahari police outpost in this regard too but police remained silent and did not take any action against the named accused so far.
Priti Pandey wife of late Mukesh Pandey of Badahari village went to the Badahari police outpost to institute an FIR in protest against mortgaging the husband’s share of land on July 17, 2023 and when she returned home after lodging an FIR, Mukesh Pandey’s father Shiv Pujan Pandey, his son Umesh Pandey, Abhay Pandey alias Guddu Pandey, Durga Devi and Priyanka Pandey grabbed her by the hair and dragged her down the street of the village and beat her up till she fainted. When the villagers protested, they fled away from the scene leaving the widow unconscious. After gaining conscious, the widow again went to the police station and lodged a named FIR against them. Bur surprisingly, the police remained silent and did not bother to take action against the named accused even after four days. As a result, the widow is living under constant fear.
