WASTE MANAGEMENT IS A GREAT PROBLEM

Ara, 9 July 2023, (RNI): Under the auspices of Namami Gange Project and Neharu Yuva Kendra, Ara, a two day programme was organized in Gyanpur and Semaria villages of Badahara block of Bhojpur district. A seminar on Waste Management was also organized at Gyanpur on the campus of Shiv Temple in the village. Coordinator, Lohia Swachchh Bharat Mission, Ranjan Baitha, programme-in-charge Lohia Swachchh Bharat Mission, Vinay Kumar, District Project Officer, Amit Kumar Singh and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranjan Baitha said that 25 Ganga Gram Panchayats have been selected in Bhojpur district under the Lohia Swachchh Bharat Mission in which special attention is being paid to the distribution of dustbins for the cleanliness of every village as well as the proper disposal of waste.
Vinay Kumar said that at present waste management is a big problem before us and the main reason for this is the lack of awareness about it.
Amit Kumar Singh said that youths of every village will have to contribute a lot in the programme and will awake people by going door to door for the disposal of filth and garbage.
Later a painting competition was organized and children were asked to make paintings based on cleanliness and prizes were also distributed among them.
