ARA----------------------------Youths attacked on police force at Khanni Kalan village under Agiaw Bazaar police station and injured eight police personnel including the SHO, Agiaw Bazaar police station when the police went there to raid. The injured were admitted to the Primary Health Centre at Piro but later the docror referred two of them to the Ara Sadar Hospital. The injured were identified as Priyanka Gupta, SHO, Agiaw Bazaar police station, SI Gore Lal Kumar, constables Ashok Mishra, Ajay Paswan, Vikas Kumar Rai, Prince Kumar, Uday Narayan Yadav Gandhi Nath Pathak and Dafadar Vijay Kumar Singh. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Agiaw Bazaar police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the guilty. Police have arrested four persons so far in this regard
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that liquor was illegally beign sold at Khanni Kala village and so he sent the Agiaw Bazaar police and a team of CIT jointly to Khanni Kala village under Agiaw Bazaar police station in the evening on June 23, 2024 to raid and the police team conducted raids at some places. Meanwhile, some youths who were playing cricket in the village, at the behest of villagers started pelted with stone on police force in which eight police personnel including the SHO Agiaw Bazaar police station were injured.
