VEER BABU KUER SINGH WAS AN INVINCIBLE WARRIOR—PROF. BALIRAJ THAKUR

ARA (RNI) On the eve of the Victory Day of a great leader of the revolution of 1857, Babu Kuer Singh, a seminar was organized in the house of Shivdas Singh at Madan Jee Ka Hata. Professor Baliraj Thakur, Senate member, Veer Kuer Singh University and Bhojpur district President, District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan was the chief guest while Dr. Durga Vijay Singh, former Vice-Chancellor, Jai Prakash University presided over the meeting.

Dr. Durga Vijay Singh, Prof. Baliraj Thakur, Dr. Nand Jee Dubey, Dr. Diwakar Pandey, Senior Advocate Laxmi Narayan Rai, Prabhat Kumar Singh and the coordinator Shivdas Singh jointly inaugurated the seminar by lighting the candle. Shivdas Singh welcomed the distinguished guests while Dr. Diwakar Pandey conducted the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Baliraj Thakur described Veer Babu Kuer Sing as the leading man of the first freedom struggle of India and said that he was a wonderful warrior in whom pride and bravery sparkled in every vein. He added that Babu Kuer Singh, a great and invincible rebel of his kind, resolved to see his birthplace free on April 23, 1858. Prof. Durga Vijay Sing, in his presidential address said that Veer Babu Kuer Singh was seeker of freedom who was also a popular administrator with socio-culture consciousness.

Former MLA Ramakat Thakur, Poet cum critic Jitendra Kumar, Dr. Janardan Mishra, Vishwanth Dubey, senior advocate Laxmi Narayan Rai, Madhu Mishra, Dr. Mamta Mishra, Surendra Tiwari, Dr. Kiran Kumari, Sharad Kumar Singh, Dr. B K Prabhakar, Arvind Kumar, Vinita Kumari, Nardeshwar Upadhayaya, Raj Kishore Singh, Pintu Singh and others were also present in the seminar.
