ULTRASOUND CENTRES SEALED

Ara, 28 May 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur District Magistrate, Raj Kumar along with officials of Health Department and district administration, at the direction of the Chef Secretary, conducted raids at different Ultrasound centres and nursing homes in Bhojpur district and found a number of Ultrasound centres not fulfilling paraphernalia. The teams of the Health Department and Bhojpur district administration sealed at least 29 Ultrasound centres and also served notices on several other Ultrasound centres.

Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar said that he got information that Ultrasound centres were doing sex determination which is completely banned and also they do not fulfill paraphernalia set for them. He added that people chose sex determination so that they could abort if girl child is confirmed in the womb as girls are still considered burden for the families in Indian society though girls are doing better in every field that their male counterpart. He said that illegal activities would not be allowed at any cost and added after confirmation of the complaints, he along with officials of the Health Department and the Bhojpur district administration raided a number of Ultrasound centres in Bhojpur district and sealed at least 29 Ultrasound centres running illegally and also involved in illegal activities like doing sex determination test. He said if girls are killed in the womb, how and where one can get daughter-in-law (bahu).

The Ultrasound centres are sealed are Kumar Ultrasound at Gausganj, Ayush Hospital at Rauja locality, Sai Emergency Hospital at Bypass, Kesari Medical Ultrasound, U K Ultrasound, Ara Ultrasound, Shiv Group Ultrasound near Ara Sadar Hospial in Ara, Vrind Govind Hospital Sahyog Ultrasound on Chandi-Kulharia main road in Koelwar, Raj Ultrasound, Karishma Ultrasound beside Amba Medical, Karishma Ultrasound at Bachari in Sandesh, Maa Laxmi Ultrasound, Maa Durga Ultrasound in Sahar, Sai Ultrasound, Raj Ultrasound in Gadhani, Zia Ultrasound in Charpokhari, Lxami Ultrasound, Surya Ultrasound, Maa Durga Ultrasound, Bhushan Diagnostic Centre in Piro, Vishnu Ultrasound, Maa Ultrasound at Mopati in Tarari, Sai Ultrasound, Sarayu Ultrasound in Jagdishpur, Puja Ultrasound, Maa Vaishnavi Ultrasound, Gayatri Ultrasound, Maa Mahathin Ultrasound in Bihia, Bhola Shankar Ultrasound in Shahpur.
