Two from Madhubani, Journalist Gandhi & Engr. Samridhi got Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Smriti Samman

Madhubani (RNI) Two personalities from Madhubani district in Bihar, senior journalist Gandhi Mishra Gagan and engineer Ms. Samridhi Pathak have been awarded the "Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Smriti Samman" this year.

These two personalities of the district were awarded by National Commission for Women member Mrs. Mamta Kumari and other guests in a grand ceremony organized at Gandhi Peace Foundation in New Delhi last night.

This honor is given every year on 3 December to 25 personalities from different regions of the country on the birth anniversary of the first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad by the All India Manav Samaj Trust.

Active in journalism in Madhubani district for three decades, Mr. Gandhi is a resident of Rampur Bit and is currently the editor of local media Live News Hindi Daily.

Engineer Samridhi, working as an executive in an American based company in Noida, is a resident of Bheja village in Madhepur block.
