The relations between India and Nepal were cordial for centuries, but turned sour in the last two decades-jha

New Delhi, (RNI) Former Vice President of Nepal Mr. Parmanand Jha has said that the relations between India and Nepal have been sweet for centuries, but in the last 15-20 years it has turned sour.

Nepal is surrounded by India on three sides and China on one side. Nepal has a centuries-old relationship with India. There is a beti roti relationship between the two countries. People there may be roadblocks at both the places, but now some changes have started coming. The reasons for this could be illegal trade, smuggling, infiltration etc. Both the countries are worried about this, Justice (Retd) Mr. Jha said in a program here, yesterday.

The former Vice President of Nepal said that Teacher's Day is not celebrated here, but in India, the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Radha Krishnan is celebrated as Teacher's Day. He said that the place of teachers in the society is the best. They work to uplift the society. No matter how high a position someone holds today, it is the contribution of Gurus i.e. teachers.

When asked by journalists regarding the demand for a separate Mithila state in India, former Vice President of Nepal Mr. Jha said that states have been formed here on linguistic basis like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh states etc. You can make demands from your government. As this is the right of the people. The government can accept it if it wants. L.S.
