The bridge of Agampur which broke down 9 months ago is mocking the district administration

Hardoi (RNI) UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working day and night for public welfare, but his government machinery seems to be engaged in ruining the dream of making "Uttar Pradesh a great state". A similar case of gross negligence of the PWD department has come to light on the culvert washed away in the flood near Agampur on Shahabad Pali road. In July 2024, due to the terrible flood in the Garra river, the culvert built on the Shahabad Pali road was washed away with the flow of water. Due to which hundreds of villages in the area were cut off from Shahabad tehsil headquarters for months, while the children studying there could not go to school for months. When the media raised this big problem of the residents of the area, the officials of the PWD department woke up from Kumbhakarani sleep and the regional MLA and Minister of State for Higher Education in the UP government, Rajni Tiwari, inspected the spot and instructed the Superintending Engineer of the PWD department to immediately get the road operational. The PWD department somehow arranged an alternative route on the broken culvert and started traffic on the road by building a pontoon bridge, but big vehicles Still could not move. After this, when the sugarcane crushing season started in DSCL Rupapur, farmers had difficulty in bringing sugarcane, so they themselves started making an alternative route by putting soil on the west side of the culvert. Meanwhile, the PWD department, realizing its disrepute, itself started work on the incomplete road, laid hume pipes and got the road built on top. Due to the road building, small and big vehicles definitely got convenience in passing. After the alternative route was built, the PWD department removed the pontoon bridge and the ditch created by the water flow opened up. The department left the road open without putting any signboards on both sides, which resulted in two bike riders dying a painful death on March 15 after falling into the ditch. Due to the negligence of the PWD department, about 9 months have passed since July 2024, but no work has been started on the broken culvert, while the Uttar Pradesh government is not tired of claiming to be ready day and night for the public. Last week, under the leadership of Akhilesh Shukla, founder of a social organization named Bhagirathi Gram Swaraj, the officials of the organization held a satyagraha and demanded the construction of the broken culvert. Whatever happens at the moment, but in the rains coming after 2 months, once again the negligence of the PWD department can cause trouble for the people. Seeing the tortoise pace of the Public Works Department, it can definitely be said that the department does not seem to be taking any interest in the construction of this culvert. When PWD Department Engineer Santosh Kumar Rawat was asked about the construction of the culvert, he said that the estimate for the construction of the culvert has been made and sent before April 10. The culvert will be constructed after getting approval from the government.
