Two teenage boys met watery grave while have a dip in the canal at Mathuri village under Dalmianagar police station in Rohtas district.
Sasaram, 9 June 2023, (RNI): Two teenage boys met watery grave while have a dip in the canal at Mathuri village under Dalmianagar police station in Rohtas district. Later the police fished out the bodies and brought them to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased were identified as Vivek Kumar 14 son of Santpal Prasad and Roushan Kumar 13 son of Rajeshwar Singh.
At least eight children of Ambedkar locality under Dalmianagar police station in Rohtas district went to a bridge at Mathuri village to have a dip in the village canal and started bathing in the canal on June 7, 2023. Meanwhile, Vivek Kumar and Roushan Kumar jumped into the river Sone and when they were not heard of, son of Raju Thakur who had accompanied them, jumped into the canal but he was also swayed away in the fast current. Seeing him swaying in the canal, the fishermen somehow rescued him but all the friends who were taking bath, fled away from the scene. The family members got information and so they rushed to the bank of the river Sone and informed the Dalmianagar police and the Circle Officer Anamika Kumari. The CO requisitioned the SDRF and after much efforts, the SDRF succeeded in fishing out the bodies on June 8, 2023 afternoon. Later the police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
