TWO YOUNG WOMEN MET THEIR WATERY GRAVE

ARA--------------------------Two young ladies met their watery grave at two different places in Bhojpur district while having a dip in the river.

One young woman was drowned in the river Ganga at Babura village under Badahara police station on October 1, 2023 while having a dip in the river but her body could be recovered on October 2, 2023. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Pinki Kumari 20 daughter of Bhukhan Paswan of Babura village.

Panchhi Kumar, uncle of the deceased said that four sisters used to go on morning walk and to bathe in the river Ganga. On October 1, 2023, they went on morning walk as usual and after that they had a dip in the river Ganga. While having a dip, Pinki Kumar swayed away in the fast current of the river and met her watery grave. The villagers searched for her but in vain. Later they informed the police and the police requisitioned a team of SDRF that also searched the whole day but in vain. The SDRF team again searched on October 2, 2023 and fished out the body after much effort.

In another incident, a teenage girl drowned in a river at the outskirt of Gothaula village under Ara Muffassil police station on October 1, 2023 in the evening while bathing in the river but her body could be found in the evening on October 2, 2023. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Chandani Kumari 13 daughter of late Manoj Bind of Gothhual village. She was a student of Class VII.

Grandfather of the deceased Radhe Shyam Ram said that Chandani Kumar along with her friends had gone to the outskirt of the village for a stroll in the evening on October 1, 2023. Meanwhile she went to the bank of the river to attend call of nature where she slipped and fell into the river and drowned. Her friends informed the family members about the incident. On information, the family members rushed to the spot and searched for her but in vain. They informed the police in the morning on October 2, 2023. The police requisitioned a team of the SDRF that launched search campaign. The SDRF fished out the body in the evening the same day and the police brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
