TWO WOMEN SURRENDER IN THE ARA COURT IN CONNECTION WITH MURDER OF A MINOR GIRL

Ara, 12 April 2023, (RNI): Under mounting police pressure, two women surrendered in the Ara Civil Court in connection with murder of a minor girl Anshu Kumari at Tier village under the same police station in Bhojpur district on March 5, 2023. Later they were sent to jail under judicial custody. The women were identified as Durga Devi wife of Kamlesh Giri and his daughter Khushi Kumari of Tier village. Police had already arrested a named accused Paras Giri of Tier village earlier and are conducting raids to arrest another unknown accused in this case. But the police are clueless about the reason regarding the murder. 

A minor girl Anshu Kumari was kidnapped while returning home from her school at Tier village under the same police station on March 5, 2023 and was taken to a house where the miscreants sprinkled kerosene oil and set her ablaze and also cauterized her with hot iron. She was admitted to the PMCH where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment on March 11, 2023. An FIR was lodged with the police under Tier police station against three named persons Paras Giri, Durga Devi wife of Kamlesh Giri and her daughter Khushi Kumari and also against an unknown youth in this regard on the statement of Lalan Yadav, grandfather of the deceased.
