TWO TEENAGE GIRLS MET THEIR WATERY GRAVE IN THE RIVER GANGA IN BUXAR DISTRICT

Two teenage girls met their watery grave in the river Ganga while having a dip in the river at Simari village under Tilak Rai Ka Hata police outpost in Buxar district. Divers fished out their bodies and the police brought them to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. One girl Dhanmuni was rescued and was hospitalized at the Buxar Community Hospital.

Buxar (RNI) Two teenage girls met their watery grave in the river Ganga while having a dip in the river at Simari village under Tilak Rai Ka Hata police outpost in Buxar district. Divers fished out their bodies and the police brought them to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. One girl Dhanmuni was rescued and was hospitalized at the Buxar Community Hospital. The deceased were identified as Ragini Kumari daughter of Hari Mohan Chaudhary of Arak village and Soni Kumari daughter of Purushottam Bind of Nayi Basi, Badaka Rajpur village under Krishnabrahm police station in Buxar district. Ragini Kumari had come to her aunt to attend a marriage ceremony there.

Reportedly, a marriage ritual was going on at the residence of Triloki Bind at Nayi Basti, Badaka Rajpur village under Tilak Rai Ka Hata police outpost in Buxar district. In the evening women folk along with newlywed bride came at the bank of river Ganga for worship where three teenage girls Ragini Kumari, Soni Kumari and Dhanmuni Kumari entered the river to have a dip. During bathing in the river all the three swayed by the fast current and drowned. The family members and the villagers searched but in vain though they succeeded in rescuing Dhanmuni Devi. Later the divers were requisitioned and they fished out the bodies of Ragini Kumari and Soni Kumari.
