TWO PERSONS KILLED, TWO INJURED

ARA-----------------------Two persons including a minor boy were killed while two others injured when a sand laden speeding truck collided a motorcycle near Hripur village under Koelwar police station on Ara-Chhapara main road in Bhojpur district today. Bhojpur police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and also admitted the injured. The deceased were identified as Tetari Devi and her one year Karanch while the injured were identified as Dhananjay Mahato, husband of the deceased and a son Chandan 2.5. Irate villagers blocked the road with the bodies and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about two hours. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the truck driver, ban of sand laden vehicles and compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after positive assurance of the ASP Parichay Kumar.

SHO Koelwar police station said that a youth along with his wife and two children was going his home at Punpun in Patna district from his in-laws at Ramshahar village under Badahara police station today on his motorcycle and when he reached near Haripur village under Koelwar police station, a sand laden speeding truck collided head-on with the motorcycle killing the mother and her two years old girl on spot while injured her husband and a son.
