TWO PERSONS KILLED

Bhabhua, 15 March 2023, (RNI): At least two persons including a girl were crushed to death and one person was injured today when a speeding truck dashed their motorcycle from behind near Check Post under Mohania police station on NH-2 in Kaimur district. The deceased were identified as Samar Singh 12 son of Bijay Singh and his cousin sister Sonali Kumari 15 daughter of Ajay Singh of Shivpur village under Bhabhua police station in Kaimur district. Irate villagers blocked the NH-2  with the bodies and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres on road and demanded compensation for the family members of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after positive response of the police officials. Later the police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police also seized the truck.

SHO Mohania police station said that Samar Singh and his cousin sister Sonali Kumari were going to Durgawati from Shivpur on a motorcycle with a person and when they reached near the Check Post on NH-2, a speeding truck dashed the motorcycle killing Samar Singh and Sonali Kumari on spot and injured the person who was driving the motorcycle. After the incident, the driver tried to escape but the police chased and seized the truck.
