TWO PERSON KILLED IN EXCHANGE OF FIRE IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA (RNI) Two persons were killed while in an exchange of fire in between two groups at Godiha village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur for supremacy in the area. The deceased were identified as Lalu Yadav 30 son of Janeshwar Yadav and Krishna Mahato son 27 of Dev Kumar Mahato of Godiha village under Sahar police station. The police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Sahar police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter. Tension prevails in the area following the incident. Bhojpur SP and the SDO rushed to the spot for investigation.

SHO Sahar police station Shivendra Kumar said that a banquet was going of Satyanarayan Sah was going in the village where people of two groups of the village clashed over an old enmity and also exchanged fire in which two persons were killed.

Munna Kumar younger brother of a deceased Krishna Kumar said that Lalu Yadav had an old enmity with his uncle Chhotak Yadav and during a banquet, Lalu Yadav and Chhotak Yadav clashed and Chhotak Yadav fired. Lalu Yadav came at his gate Chhotak Yadav also reached there and said that Munna Kumar had given shelter to Lalu Yadav. When denied Chhotak killed his brother Krishna Kumar and later also killed Lalu Yadav.

Janeshar Yadav father of Lalu Yadav said that Chhotak Yadav and Lalu Yadav had a tiff earlier and an FIR was lodged with the police though the matter was subsided in the village panchayat. He said that Lalu Yadav had gone to the banquet in the village where Chhotak Yadav and some others caught and killed him.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Bihari Yadav and Janeshwar Yadav had enmity over cutting of grass and also not giving fare of Pick-up and FIRs were lodged with the police under Sahar police station against both the groups. He said both groups were living peacefully in the village for the last three months. On Saturday late evening, both the groups once again clashed over a trivial issue and Brajesh Yadav nephew of Bihari Yadav fired on Lalu Yadav and killed him. In protest, Chhotak Yadav uncle of Lalu Yadav chased Brajesh Yadav and fired in the dark and the bullet hit Krishna Mahato and killed. The SP stated that names of both the accused have been verified. Three persons have been arrested so far and a police team was conducting raids to arrest the rest accused.

Sources said that both groups had an old enmity for quite some time for supremacy in the area and had exchanged fire earlier. An FIR had also been lodged with the police under Sahar police station in this regard but the matter could not be subsided.
