TWO NOTORIOUS CRIMINALS ARE ON TWO DAYS POLICE REMAND

ARA-----------------------Bhojpur police took two notorious criminals Sheru Singh alias Omkar Nath Singh and Chandan alias Prince on two day remand for interrogation in connection with Rs. 10.6 crore robbery in the Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station on March 10, 2025. Both the notorious criminals were languishing in Purilia jail in West Bengal and after their involvement came to light in the robbery, they were brought from there on production warrant and were produced in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate. The police filed a petition in the court for their remand and the court, after hearing, allowed two day remand. The police took them on remand today and now the police grilled them.

During investigation of the robbery in the Tanishq Showroom at Ara, the knew that Sheru Singh and Chandan alias Prince had hatched plan from inside the Purulia jail in West Bengal and they had played an important role in the robbery. After their involvement was confirmed, the police filed production warrant against them in the court on March 26, 2025 and both the miscreants were brought to Ara from Purulia jail and were produced in the Ara court. The police immediately filed a petition in the court of the CJM for their remand and the court allowed their petition and allowed two day remand.

It may be mentioned here that robbery was committed in the Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station on March 10, 2025 and jewelries of gold, silver and diamond worth over Rs. 10 crore were looted and the miscreants had looted the gun of the security guard. The police at once arrested two miscreants from Badahara police station area when they were fleeing after an encounter and had recovered two bags of looted jewelries, one pistol, one motorcycle and 10 live cartridges and looted rifle from them. Now the police are trying to know the network of the miscreants on the basis of interrogation of Sheru Singh and Chandan alias Prince. Police said that the rest miscreants will be arrested very soon.
