TWO MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS ARRESTED IN THE MURDER OF MUKHIA’S HUSBAND

Ara, 19 May 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested two miscreants and seized a country made pistol in connection with murder of Mahendra Yadav alias Munna Yadav, husband of Amrawati, Mukhia, Western Gundi panchayat under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested miscreants were identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Rocky of Bindtoli locality under Ara town police station and Pawan Kumar alias Manager Rai of Shaligram Singh Ke Tola under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district. 

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that motorcycle borne unidentified some armed miscreants had shot dead Mahendra Yadav alias Munna Yadav husband of Mukhia, Western Gundi Amarawati Devi when he was returning from Krishnagarh police station on his motorcycle after meditation on May 14, 2023. He formed a police team under the SDPO, Ara Chandar Prakash and the police team, following scientific research arrested Rakesh Kumar alias Rocky from near Gangi under Ara town police station and seized two country made  pistols, two live cartridges, four blank cartridges, one motorcycle and one mobile.

The SP said that the police had recovered a towel from the incident site and following the scientific research, arrested Rakesh Kumar alias Rocky from near Gangi locality under Ara town police station. He is a resident of Bindtoli locality under Ara town police station. The police recovered a country made pistol from his possession. The police on his revelation, conducted raid at the house of his friend and associate, Pawan Kumar son of Manager Rai at Shaligram Singh Ke Tola under Badahara police station and arrested him and also recovered another country made pistol from his house. The SP stated that the former Mukhia and his family members were involved in the murder and the election rivalry was said to be the cause behind the incident. He said that the former Mukhia and his associates had pumped four bullets into the body of present Mukhia Amarawati Devi though she was rescued. He said one of the named accused Tez Pratap Yadav is still languishing in the Ara jail and the police are conducting raids to arrest the other named accused. He added that the police would arrest Dhan Jee Yadav very soon.
