TWO MISCREANTS WERE INJURED IN AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE POLICE

ARA (RNI) In an exchange of fire in between the police and the miscreants on the Over Bridge at Nayaka Tola under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district when they were fleeing after shooting a property dealer in a dispute of roadways, two miscreants were injured whom the police later arrested. Police also recovered two country made pistols and four live cartridges and a motorcycle from them. Police admitted the injured miscreants to the Ara Sadar Hospital while the property dealer was admitted in a private nursing home. The injured property dealer was identified as Pappu Singh 36 son of late Anurag Singh of Kaura Ward No 10 under Jagdishpur police station. He dealt in land sell and purchase while the injured miscreants were identified as a dreaded criminal Chhotu Mishra of Rohtas district and his aid Vipul Tiwari. Jagdishpur SDPO Rajeev Chandra Singh, SHO Jagdishpur police station Bigau Ram and other police officers arrived at the incident site to inquire into the matter while the Bhojpur SP Mister Raj came to the Ara Sadar Hospital to investigate the matter. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station in this regard and police are investigating the matter.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that two miscreants having criminal background, Chhotu Mishra and Vipul Tiwari had a dispute with a property dealer Pappu Singh at the Nayaka Tola Over Bridge under Jagdishpur police station over parking of motorcycle and both the miscreants fired and injured Pappu Singh and escaped from the scene but meanwhile, the police arrived at scene and intercepted the miscreants but the miscreants fired on the police. The police also retaliated in the same manner in self-defense in which both the miscreants received bullet injuries and were injured. Later the police arrested and admitted them in the Ara Sadar Hospital. The police also recovered two country made pistols, four live cartridges and a motorcycle from them. The SP said that both the miscreants had criminal history and Chhotu Mishra has come out of the Bhagalpur jail three months ago. Police are interrogating them.

Pappu Singh said that he was going to Jagdishpur on his motorcycle to attend a marriage ceremony when two miscreants on a motorcycle came on the Nayaka Tola Over Bridge under Jagdishpur police station and fired on him unprovoked in which he was injured. He also denied any dispute with the miscreants though he blamed that the miscreants shot at and injured him with a view of loot.
