ARA----------------------------Two minor children met their watery grave in the flood water near Sarangpur village under Ara Muffassil police station while their father and mother were rescued by the villagers. The deceased were identified as Bahrangi Kumar 6 and Malati Kumari 3 children of Ram Prakash Mishra of Mathila village under Koransarai police station in Buxar district. They presently lived in a rented house at Ratanpur village under Ara Muffasil police station.
Ram Prakash Mishra said that he was a rickshaw puller. He along with his wife Shikha Devi, son Bajrangi Kumar and daughter Malti Kumari were going to Sarangpur village under Ara Muffassil police station to mourn the sudden death of his sister-in-law’s daughter Karishma Kumari. He said that as the entire road was inundated with flood water and so they opted to go through the field. He was carrying his both the children on his shoulders when a ditch came in his way and all of them slipped and fell into the flood water and all of them started drowning. Seeing them drowning, the villagers came to their rescue and took them out of the water but till both the children died however, he and his wife survived narrowly.
