TWO KILLED, TWO INJURED

A cook of the CRPF was killed while two friends injured when two motorcycles collided head-on near Shahpur Petrol Pump under Shahpur police station on Buxar-Ara National Highway in Bhojpur district. Police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there but the doctor referred them to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The deceased was identified as Virendra Singh 39 son of Shivajee Singh of Mahuaar village under Shahpur police station and he was posted on the post of a cook in the CRPF and was presently posted at Arunachal Pradesh. He was deputed in the office of the DIG, Gaya on dictation for some months while the injured was identified as Manish Ram 18 son of Dhan Jee Ram and Aditya Kumar 18 son of Bhigrashan Yadav of Dhamwal village under Shahpur police station.
Praful Kumar Pankaj, uncle-in-law of the deceased said that Virendra Singh’s children read at Ara and so he had come to Ara on his motorcycle to meet his children. When he was returning his village, Manish Kumar and Aditya Kumar were coming to Ara from Shahpur on a motorcycle collided near Shahpur Petrol Pump under Shahpur police station on Ara-Buxar National Highway in which Virendra Singh was killed on spot while Manish Kumar and Aditya Kumar were badly injured.
In another incident, one teenage student was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Bibiganj Petrol Pump under Gajrajganj police station on Ara-Buxar National Highway when he was trying to cross the road. The deceased was identified as Akash Kumar 15 son of Ashok Mahato of Kudhwa Tola under Gajrajganj police station in Bhojpur district. He was a student of class X and had appeared at the matriculation examination this year and was waiting for the result.
UPendra Kumar, elder brother of the deceased said that Akash Kumar had gone to the market along with his friend to buy some goods. When he was returning home on foot and was trying to cross the road, a speeding vehicle knocked him down killing him on spot. Later the driver escaped with the vehicle after the incident.
