Ara, 25 June 2023, (RNI): Two groups clashed and exchanged dozens rounds of fire over plucking of mangoes at Diyul village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district in the evening on June 24, 2023. The police arrested both the brothers. Personal enmity is said to be the cause behind the incident. A video of the incident became viral on the social media. The arrested brothers were identified as Raj Kishore Pandey and Vikas Pandey though the main culprit and the third brother Ritesh Pandey escaped from the scene. Police are camping in the village to maintain law and order in the area. Police are conducting raids to arrest him. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station in this regard. Police are also investigating the matter. 

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that families of Vinay Pandey and Raj Kishore Pandey at Diyul village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district had personal enmity over trivial issues. They had already filed FIRs with the police under Jagdishpur police station against each other. In the evening on June 24, 2023, both the families clashed over plucking of mangoes and pelted with stones but later they exchanged dozens rounds of fire and a bullet missed Vinay Pandey and he survived narrowly. Later the police admitted him to the Hospital and the doctor released him after first aid. After the firing three brothers Raj Kishore Pandey, Vikas Pandey and Ritesh Pandey escaped but the police chased and arrested two brothers Raj Kishore Pandey and Vikas Pandey but Ritesh Pandey succeeded in fleeing away.
