TWO ABSCONDERS ARRESTED
Bhojpur police arrested two absconders from Ara Ramana Maidan and sent them to the Ara jail after interrogation in connection with murder of Nitesh Kumar of M P Bagh under Ara town police station.
Ara, 6 January 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested two absconders from Ara Ramana Maidan and sent them to the Ara jail after interrogation in connection with murder of Nitesh Kumar of M P Bagh under Ara town police station. The arrested absconders were identified as Dharmendra Sinha alias Bheem Lal son of former Ward Councilor and Sumit Kumar Chaudhary.
SHO Ara town police station Sanjeev Kumar said that two groups had clashed over election enmity at M P Bagh under Ara town police station in which Nitish Kumar alias Ritesh Kumar 20 son of late Binod Prasad Ward No 1n was thrashed with traditional weapons and iron rod. He was admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor sent him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Family members and local residents had gone on rampage after his death and the SHO, Ara town police station had assured the agitating people to arrest the culprits at the earliest. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station against seven named persons including former Ward Councilor Parvati Devi and four unnamed persons while Dharmendra Kumar Sinha had instituted an FIR against 10 persons.
The SHO said that the police were preparing to attach the property of the named accused in the case after getting warrant of property attachment from the court but meanwhile, the police, on confidential report, gheraoed the Ramana Maidan and arrested Dharmendra Sinha alias Bheem Lal and Sumit Chaudhary and sent them to jail after interrogation.
