TRIPLE MURDER ACCUSED ABSCONDDED FROM POLICE CUSTODY, SHO, PSI AND CHOWKIDAR SUSPENDED
One accused in the murder of three persons including two minor children escaped from the police custody today. The absconder is said to be mentally unhealthy. ARA (RNI) One accused in the murder of three persons including two minor children escaped from the police custody today. The absconder is said to be mentally unhealthy. Police are conducting raids to arrest the absconder. Meanwhile, Bhojpur SP suspended the SHO Azimabad town police station, Chowkidar and the PSI with immediate effect for dereliction of duty.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people and family members of the deceased blocked the road near Ara Collectorate with the bodies of the deceased and raised slogans against the police administration. They paralyzed the movement of vehicles and demanded stern action against the SHO Azimabad police station and arrest of the miscreant at once. They blamed that the police deliberately released the miscreant by being greased the palms.
The SDPO said that the named accused was mentally unhealthy and so he was not kept in the hazat and taking advantage of the situation, the named accused of the triple murder slipped from the police custody and escaped from then scene.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the arrested accused was kept in the hazat of the Azimabad town police station. In the morning on September 11, 2024, a chowkidar and a PSI went to him to get his signature on the Hazat register when Laloo Yadav pushed away the police personnel and escaped from the police custody. Police team is conducting raids to arrest him. The SP said that action would be taken against the negligent Chowkidar and the PSI by taking a report.
The SP said that one mentally unhealthy person Laloo Yadav killed his wife, his minor daughter and new borne son at Milki village under Azimabad police station after a quarrel with his wife in the evening on September 10, 2024 and escaped from the spot. After the murder Laloo Yadav was roaming in the village with naked body. Seeing the splatter of blood on his body, the villagers became suspicious and they informed the police regarding the incident. On information, the SDPO, Piro Rahul Kumar along with the SHO Azimabad police station and police force rushed to the spot to inquire into the matter and arrested Laloo Yadav. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has also been requisitioned. The deceased were identified as Sima Devi 35 wife of Laloo Yadav, her daughter Soumya Kumari 8 and son Vidvant Kumar 10 months old. The police arrested at once and put him into the hazat of the police station who was to be produced in the court on September 11, 2024. Police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating the matter. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
Villagers said that Laloo Yadav had two daughters Soumya Kumari 8, Minakshi Kumari 3 and two sons Mani Kumar 7 and 10 month old Vidwant Kumar. His daughter Minakshi Kumari and Mani Kumar lived with their aunt (Fua) at Rampur village under Chandi police station and so they survived but Laloo Yadav killed Soumya Kumari and Vidwant Kumar along with his wife. The villagers said that Laloo Yadav’s elder brother Kalloo Yadav was also mentally unhealthy and his where about is not known and his wife had already deserted him and was living in her parental house.
Ram Babu Singh of Zamuaw Tola under Sandesh police station said he married his daughter Sima Devi in the year 2014 and she had four children with the marriage. He said that Laloo Yadav always quarreled with and thrashed his wife. In the month of February this year, after quarrel she along with her children had come to her parental house but after one month Laloo Yadav promised not to quarrel further and brought his wife and children back.
