TRIBAL PEOPLE WENT ON RAMPAGE AFTER DEATH OF TRIBAL WOMAN

Sasaram, 7 January 2023, (RNI): Hundreds of tribal people went on rampage and attacked the Range Office after the death of tribal woman under mysterious circumstances at Akbarpur under Rohtas police station in Rohtas district. They also thrashed the range officer Hem Chandra Mishra with traditional weapons and injured him. On information, the DM and the SP rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control and also admitted the injured range officer Hem Chandra Mishra to the Sub-Divisional Hospital at Dehari.

Raj Kalo Devi, a tribal woman of Naga Toli of Akbarpur village had gone to jungle of Kaimur hill to collect dried wood but the body of the woman was found under mysterious circumstances. The villagers blamed that dereliction of duty of forest employees and the officers caused the death of Raj Kalo Devi. The tribal people became agitated and attacked the office of the forest department at Akbarpur and thrashed the range officer and other employees of the forest department. The agitating people also attacked the SDM, Dehari and damaged window pan several vehicles.
