THREE WOMEN, ONE MINOR CHILD OF A FAMILY KILLED, 14 INJURED
Four persons including three women and a minor child of a family were killed while 14 others injured, four of them seriously, when a speeding truck dashed an auto-rickshaw from behind near Shahpur village under the same police station on Ara-Buxar main road in Bhojpur district today.

ARA----------------------------Four persons including three women and a minor child of a family were killed while 14 others injured, four of them seriously, when a speeding truck dashed an auto-rickshaw from behind near Shahpur village under the same police station on Ara-Buxar main road in Bhojpur district today. Police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. The doctor referred the seriously injured persons to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition.The deceased were identified as Ajeet Kumar 7 son of Manoj Mahato o,f Nayakapaadhi Fatehpur villge under Raghopur police station in Vaishali district, Suhagi Devi 50 wife of Shiv Nandan Mahato of Chhivakiya village under Ganga Bridge police station in Vaishali district, Shubhagya Devi 65 wife of Uttam Mahato of Daudpur village under Shahpur police station in Patna district and Siratiya Devi 65 wife of Mohan Mahto of the same village. The driver escaped with the truck after the incident. An FIR was lodged with the police in this regard under Shahpur police station. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to seize the truck and also to arrest the driver.
Narayan Mahato of Daudpur village in Patna district along with his minor son Kartik 6, family members and relatives had gone to Gupta Dham in Kaimur district for the tonsure. After the rituals, all of them were returning in an auto-rickshaw and they reached near Shahpur Fauzi Hotel under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on Ara-Buxar main road, the auto-rickshaw ran short petrol. The driver alighted the auto-rickshaw to bring petrol from nearby petrol pump after parking the vehicle on roadside, a speeding truck dashed the auto-rickshaw from behind. As a result the auto-rickshaw was badly smashed and overturned into ditch in which three women and a minor child were killed on spot while 14 others injured four of them seriously.
