THREE PERSONS DIED DUE TO HEAT WAVE AT SASARAM RAILWAY STATION
Three persons died due to heat wave at the Sasaram railway station in Bihar. One deceased was identified as Suresh Thakur of Sisrit village under Nokha police station while identity of two others has to be established.
Sasaram, 18 June 2023, (RNI): Three persons died due to heat wave at the Sasaram railway station in Bihar. One deceased was identified as Suresh Thakur of Sisrit village under Nokha police station while identity of two others has to be established.
Suresh Thakur had come to the Sasaram railway station for the train to go Nokha but fell to the ground due to heat wave and excessive heat. The GRP rushed him to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital where he died during treatment. Two other unidentified persons also died at the Sasaram railway station in the same manner.
It may be mentioned here that heat wave has lashed Bhojpur, Rohtas, Buxar and Kaimur district and people particularly elderly persons are dying due to heat wave. Maximum 6 persons have died in Bhojpur district and two in Rohtas district due to heat wave.
In view of continuous heat wave and scorching sun, the IMD issued advisory for the people to be followed. The IMD advised people to remain indoor during day hour unless it is inevitable and also said to drink lot of water and fruit juice as much as possible. It was also advised to use towels and caps if it is necessary to go out. Red alert has been announced in Bhoupur and Kaimur districts.
