At least three persons including father and son were killed while four persons including mother and daughter. Police brought the bodies to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there.

ARA--------------------------At least three persons including father and son were killed while four persons including mother and daughter. Police brought the bodies to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. The doctor referred one of the injured to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The deceased were identified as Sonu Sao 32 son of Harendra Sao, his son Krish Kumar of Jagdishpur Pathak village under Piro police station and Om Prakash Ram 22 son of late Shiv Jee Ram of Shivpur-Chaiyachak village under Gadhani police station in Bhojpur district while the injured were identified as Kumkum Kumari wife of Sonu Sao, her daughters Kirti Kumari 3, Ruchi Kumari 10 months, Ram Badan Ram 36 son Krishna Ram.
Sonu Sao along with his wife Kumkum Kumari and his son Krish Kumar and daughters Kirti Kumari and Ruchi Kumari had gone to his in-laws at Posawa village under Gadhani police station to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. In the late evening on August 31, 2023, he along with his family was returning his native village on a motorcycle. When he reached near Semrao Hotel under Charpokhari police station, Om Prakash along with his nephew Ram Badan Ram, after celebrating Raksha Bandhan Haswadih and Lilari villages under Piro police station came on a motorcycle and collided head-on with Sonu Sao motorcycle in which all were injured. The locals rushed them to Ara Sadar Hospital but Om Prakash Ram succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital while Sonu Sao died in the emergency ward during treatment and Krish Kumar died on way to the PMCH.
