THREE EXTORTIONISTS ARRESTED

Ara, 12 April 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested three extortionists and recovered mobile and SIM card used in demanding extortion from a jeweler. The arrested extortionists were identified as Rahul Kumar Ranjan of Moti Tola Bank Colony, Vasim Khan of Dudh Katora and Salman Khan of Nazirganj under Ara town police station. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that some miscreants were demanding Rs. 6 lakh as extortion from a jeweler Kamal Kishore Prasad on mobile with a threat of dire consequences in the name of an old history shitter on April 7, 2023 He immediately formed a police team under the DSP Binod Kumar and the police team following technical and scientific research, identified the extortionists and arrested them.

The SP stated that all the arrested extortionists were new in the crime world and were using the name of an old history shitter to establish themselves. They demanded Rs. 6 lakh with dire consequences from Kamal Kishore Prasad who ran a jewel shop at Gopali Chowk-Jail Road area under Ara town police station. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station against unknown extortionists on the statement of the jeweler.
