THREE BANK ROBBERS ARRESTED WITH FIRE ARMS AND LOOTED ARTICLES
-Bhojpur police arrested three bank robbers and recovered two country made pistols, eight live cartridges, one fake pistol, two stolen motorcycles and a iron fighter from their possession.
Ara, 21 April 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested three bank robbers and recovered two country made pistols, eight live cartridges, one fake pistol, two stolen motorcycles and a iron fighter from their possession. The police sent them to jail after interrogation. The arrested bank robbers were identified as Nitish Kumar, Jitendra Kumar and Ranjeet Kumar of Dhobaha police outpost area while Rahul Kumar of Daulatpur under Ara Muffassil police station is still absconding. Police are conducting raids to arrest the fourth robber.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that three veiled and armed miscreants entered the South Bihar Gramin Bank (SBGB) at Belauti in Shahpur and made captive all the customers at pistol points and dictated the cashier to fill their bags with all the money and when the cashier did not yield, they broke the glass of the counter on April 19, 2023. They also fired but the pistol did not response and so they had to escape empty handed. The police identified three bank robbers from the CCTV footage and arrested them. The arrested robbers said that they were four and the fourth aide was standing outside the bank and worked as liner.
The SP said that during interrogation, the arrested miscreants revealed that they learnt bank robbery and way to escape after robbery from You Tube. They had looted Rs. 31000 from Bank of Baroda on the campus of Bakhorapur Kali temple under Badahara police station in the month of January this year and they planned to loot the SBGB at Belauti but as their pistol failed to fire, they had to escape with wry face. The robbers also told the SP that they had spent some looted money in the Saraswati Pooja and purchased pistol and mobile for the next robbery. The robbers also identified their towel and cap they had dropped during their escape from the SBGB on April 19, 2023.
