THE ATMOSPHERE OF HAPPINESS TURNED INTO MOURNING AFTER FIERCE FIRING AT A WEDDING CEREMONY IN BUXAR

BUXAR----------------------------The morale of criminals in Bihar is very high and they do not hesitate to commit crimes like murder on trivial matters. Hardly a day passes when heinous crimes like murder and robbery do not take place.

In Buxar district exchange of fire took place at about midnight near PC College area under Buxar Muffassil police station in Buxar district during a marriage ceremony. The entire area was shaken by the firing at midnight and an atmosphere of chaos prevailed.

A marriage ceremony was being solemnized at Jyoti Marriage Hall near PC College under Buxar Muffassil police station in the late evening on April 15, 2025 and Abhay Kumar Sinha 40 son of late Jagdish Sinha of Sondhila village had come to attend the wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, an argument broke out in between two groups over some trivial issues which soon turned into a bloody conflict. In the process, a bullet hit Abhay Singh’s thigh and injured him. People present at the spot rushed him to Vishwamitra Hospital Golambar where the bullet was removed through an operation under the supervision of Dr. Rajiv Kumar Jha.

Villagers said that the main reason for this firing is alcohol because in this area the liquor ban is at its best and one can easily get any amount of liquor. People say that the dispute arose due to the intoxication of alcohol and about 20 to 22 rounds of firing took place. However, the police confirmed only 4 to 5 rounds of firing. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident. An FIR was lodged with the police under Buxar Muffassil police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.

SDO Dheeraj Kumar said that on information a police team rushed to the spot and a police team also went to the hospital to record the statement of the injured. He said that only after the statement, it would be clear who fired the bullet and why. Police said that a suspect has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. The police are also scanning the CCTV footage installed nearby and is also querying other eyewitnesses present there.
