TEN MONTH OLD CHILD STOLEN

ARA------------------------Some unidentified miscreants stole a ten months old child when he sleeping with his parents at Fatehpur Schedule Caste Tola under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district. As the news spread, the family members and hundreds of activists of the CPI-ML blocked the Fatehpur Bazar on Bihia-Bihata State Highway 102 in the morning and raised slogans against the district administration. They burnt tyres on road and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about two hours. They were demanding safe recovery of the child. The blockade could be lifted after the assurance of the police officers to recover the child within 24 hours.

SHO Sikarhatta police station Pawan Kumar said that a 10 month old child Umesh Ram son of Lutawan Ram of Fatehpur village under Sikarhatta police station was sleeping with his mother at Schedule Caste Tola in the village when at about 10pm some unidentified miscreants came on Bolero and escaped with the child.

Lutawan Ram said that he came to Fatehpur village from his native village Dalippur along with his wife Aghania Devi about three months ago in search of bread and was planning to go to Gujarat on August 24, 2023 to eke out two squares meal a day but in the meantime his child was stolen. The SHO said that the police were searching for the child since the incident took place and hoped that the police could recover the child very soon.
