TEENAGE YOUTH SHOT DEAD IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA (RNI) Some armed miscreants shot dead a teenage youth at Imadpur village under the same police station in Bhojpur district in the late night on August 17, 2024. The police recovered the body from drain near Middle School in the village and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Pushpam Raj alias Bholu 14 son of Vidyanand Pandey of Imadpur village under the same police station. He was a student of Class VIII. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Imadpur police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Love affair is reportedly said to be the cause behind the incident.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the villagers informed him at abour 4pm that some armed miscreants shot dead Pushpam Raj alias Bholu son of Vidyanand Pandey at Imadpur village under the same police station of Piro Sub-Division in Bhojpur district. He at once sent a police team under a senior police officer along with a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). He said that Pushpam Raj had gone to his friend at attend a birthday party at about 10pm but some armed miscreants shot him dead. The SP said that the initial investigation showed that Pushpam Raj had some love affairs with a girl and even the locals confirmed that he was killed in love affairs. He formed a police team under the SDPO, Piro to investigate the matter and also to arrest the miscreants.

Rishi Raj Kumar, cousin brother of the deceased said that he was sleeping with his grandfather Rajeshwar Pandey in the night on August 17, 2024 but it was not known as to when he came out of his house and when Rajeshwar Pandey woke up, he did not find Pushpam Ram anywhere. The family members searched for him everywhere. Meanwhile, some sand labourers who were returning from the Sand Ghat, said that a youth was lying in the pool of blood behind the Middle School in the village. The family members went there and found that some miscreants shot dead Pushpam Raj. They informed the police in this regard. On information, the police arrived at the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
