TEENAGE GIRL KIDNAPPED, RECOVERED

SASARAM (RNI) Rohtas police chased and freed a teenage girl from the clutches of her kidnapper near Rauni village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district and also arrested the mastermind though four others somehow escaped from the scene. The police brought the girl to the Sasaram Civil Court to get the statement of the girl registered under section 164 CrPC. The police seized the truck though the driver is absconding.

SHO Bikramganj police station Lalan Kumar said that he got information in the night that some persons had kidnapped a teenage girl from Khairabhudhar village under Bikramganj police station in a truck. He at once swung into action and chased the truck for about three kilometer and intercepted the truck at Rauni village and recovered the girl and arrested the mastermind Golu Kumar of Khairabhudhar village. He further said that a named FIR has been lodged with the police under Bikramganj police station against five persons in this regard. Four of them are absconding.

It may be said that a marriage was being solemnized at Khairabhudhar village when five youth kidnapped a teenage girl and tried to escape with her in a truck but the police foiled their bid and recovered the girl and also arrested the mastermind. Family members of the girl said that the son of a chowkidar is involved in kidnapping and the police are interested in the medical examination of the girl. The SHO said that the girl has been produced in the court for her statement under section 164 CrPC and further action will be taken at the direction of the court.
