-The Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station where crores of rupees jewelries were looted on March 10, 2025, caught fire. At least 40 staffs and some customers were inside the Showroom. As the smoke filled the Showroom, all the staffs and even the customers ran away to safety. At least 10 motorcycles were also burnt though no casualty is reported so far in the fire. A chair stand for the guard to sit was being made in the basement of the Showroom and a spark from the welding machine caused the fire.

At least 40 staffs and some customers were inside the Showroom. As the smoke filled the Showroom, all the staffs and even the customers ran away to safety. At least 10 motorcycles were also burnt though no casualty is reported so far in the fire. A chair stand for the guard to sit was being made in the basement of the Showroom and a spark from the welding machine caused the fire.

The Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station at Ara where jewelries worth about Rs. 10.9 crore were looted on March 10, 2025, caught fire today. It was said that the fire starts in the generator room on the ground floor. At the time of fire, 40 employees and customers were present in the Showroom. As soon as information about the fire came, the employees and the customers were evacuated and the fire brigade was summoned.

An eyewitness said that welding work was going on in the basement of the Showroom for a chair stand for the guard to sit. Meanwhile a spark caused fire in the car parked in the basement. Gradually the fire became uncontrollable and engulfed the entire basement. Due to the fire, smoke spread and filled the entire Showroom. As soon as the news of fire in the Tanishq Showroom spread, the fire brigade was summoned and the team of fire brigade started extinguishing the fire.

Salesman Rahul Kumar said that all the staffs were dealing with the customers on their respective floors. Meanwhile, there was smoke and the situation worsened. The smoke filled the entire Showroom. Somehow the staffs and customers were managed to get out of the Showroom. At the same time, Umesh Kumar Singh, a customer, said that he along with his family had come to buy jewellery. He had pared his motorcycle outside on the road. While they were shopping, smoke spread in the shop. They ran to the roof. Somehow they saved their lives by jumping from there to another house.

Traffic DSP Manoj Kumar Sudhanshu said that a spark caused fire and it is nothing to do with the loot and no casualty reported so far. He added that the damage is being estimated.
