SWAMI RAMANAND JEE MEW MAHANTH OF ARA BADI MATHIA

Ara, 2 July 2023, (RNI): Swami Ramanand Das is made the Manth of historical Badi Mathia. Coronation will take place after ‘chaturmas.’

The present Mahanth Ram Kinkar Das Jee Maharaj announced Acharya Ramanand Das Jee his heir after completing all legal and documentary formalities. After chaturmas, his ‘chadarposhi’ or coronation and mahantayi ceremony will take place in the presence of saints and sadhus from across the country.

Acharya Ramanad Das Jee, a favoured disciple of siddh saint and scholar of Ayodhya, Pandit Akhileshwar Das Jee Maharaj, is at present the Mahanth of Sri Ram Kunj, Ayodhya and is counted among the respected scholars and well known orator in India and well versed in Sri Madbhagwat, Mahbharat and Sri Ram Charit Manas. He is revered in the sage society as well as an embodiment of modesty and courtesy. Present Mahanth, Ramkinkar Das Jee Maharaj in presence of Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey, national president, Jansangh, senior Advocate, Laxmi Narayan Rai, Advocate, Awadhesh Tiwari, Advocate Rakesh Kumar Mishra and Vishnu Das Jee Maharaj, completed all the formalities of registration in the office of the Ara Registration Office.

It may be mentioned here that the Badi Mathia at the Bhojpur district headquarter Ara, established by Baba Sri Bhagwan Das jee, is an important monastery of Sri Ramanand Vaishnav tradition. His disciple Sri Bal Krishna Das Jee Maharaj was a saint and siddh of high order. Later in his disciple lineage, Pandit Sri Ram Vallabh Sharan Jee Maharaj became a famous greast saint at Jankti Ghat, Ayodhya. His disciple and great scholar, Pandit Akhileshwar Das Jee, Bhajnanandi was honoured as Guru Vashishth among great saints of his time and Swami Ramanand Jee Maharaj is the favoured disciple of this Pandit Akhileshwaranand Jee Maharaj, Bhajanandi of Ayodhya. His becoming Manath of historical and glorious tradition of Badi Mathia will prove to be a shining star and Ara and the residents are fortunage to have the company of such a learned and detached Vaishnav saint as Mahanth.

A famous exponent of Sri Madbhagwat and national president of Jansangh, Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that the preparation for announcing the successor, was going on for the last two years when he had gone to Ayodhya Jee in the month of Shrawan in the year 2021 and by the grace of God, this work was completed and Swami Ramanand Jee Maharaj was announced Mahanth of Badi Mathia finally and the present Mahanth Ramkinkar Das Jee Maharaj delegated his all power through legal process.

Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that respected Raj Kumar Das Jee (office bearer of RamVallab Kunj Janki Ghat, Ayodhya) had come to the Badi Mathia on Vaman Dwadashi in the year 2021and since various saints and mahatmas continued to visit here in this context. Swami Ramanand Jee Maharaj had come to Badi Mathia before the Holi this year and after a few days his disciple Vishnu Das Jee Maharaj came to Badi Mathia but owing to preoccupation of the outgoing Mahanth, the date for this work kept deferred. Now when Ramanand Jee Maharaj along with his disciple came to Mathia, the paper works were completed. After the ‘chaturmas’ the a grand coronation or covering ceremony programme will be held with ‘Ramacharcha worship and prayer because in Sanatan tradtion, any auspicious work is done only after ‘chaturmas’ or from Dev Uthan Ekadasi.
