SUPREME COURT REJECTS BAIL OF MLC’S SON KANHAIYA PRASAD

ARA-------------------------Supreme Court of India rejected the bail petition of an accused in the illegal sand mining Kanhaiya Prasad son of the MLC Radha Charan Sah alias Seth Ji. Now Kanhaiya Prasad may be arrested once again. The Patna High Court had allowed his bail petition on May 6, 2024 but the Supreme Court rejected the bail petition and also issued detailed direction in this regard.

The Enforcement Department had arrested Kanhaiya Prasad on September 18, 2023 and had sent him to jail but he succeeded in getting bail from the Patna High Court on May 6, 2024. With the rejection of bail of Kanhaiya Prasad from the Supreme Court, the possibility of rejection of bails of other accused has been increased.

Kanhaiya Prasad is the director of Brodsons Commodities Private Limited, one of main company involved in illegal sand mining and he has share in another sand mining company Aditya Malticom. The ED had filed two charge Sheets separately in this regard in which the MLC Radha Charan Sah alias Seth Ji, Kanhaiya Prasad, Ashok Kumar Gupta and at least one and half a dozen persons accusing them defaulter revenue of over Rs. 500 crore.
