STUDENTS THRASHED TEACHERS FOR LADDUS IN BUXAR

BUXAR------------------Agitated over not getting laddus on August 15, 2024 on Independence Day, students and villagers chased and thrashed teachers and injured in Buxar district. The incident took place in a high school under Murar police station area of Chaugai in Buxar district.

Independence Day celebration was organized in a High School under Murar police station area of Chaugai in Buxar district on August 15, 2024. After hoisting of tri-colour national flag, laddus were being distributed among the students of the school. Meanwhile a student became agitated when he did not get the laddu and he scuffled with teachers in the school campus and later when the teacher was going home, the student caught and thrashed him.

After the flag hoisting, there is a tradition of distribution of laddus among the school students and even this year, after the national flag hoisting and cultural programme, laddus were being distributed among the students when a student of Banjaria created a ruckus. The onlookers said that the student misbehaved with teachers Pankaj Kumar and Hanan Kumar in the school campus and when they were going to their house, the student caught and thrashed them.

On the other hand the teachers said that the accused was not bonafide student of the school and had entered into the school with a view to create disturbances. Sources said that after the incident, the teachers approached the police but had  to return as the Independence Day celebration was going on there and the police directed them to come to the police station next day.

SHO Murar Police Station Kanal Nayan Pandey said that he got information regarding the incident but has not received any application from the teachers or school administration. He added that the police would take action after written complaint is received in this regard.
