STRUGGLE AND SACRIFICE ARE THE IDENTITY OF JAN SANGH—ACHARYA BHARAT BHUSHAN
A programme was organized at the office of the Jan Sangh at Friend’s Colony to mark the martyrdom Day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the first Industry Minister of Independent India and the founding president of the Jan Sangh. Dr. Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey, national president, All India Jan Sangh, presided over the meeting. Madheshwar Nath Pandey welcomed the distinguished guests while Jai Prakash Tiwari conducted the meeting and Narmeshwar Upadhayaya extended vote of thanks.
ARA (RNI) A programme was organized at the office of the Jan Sangh at Friend’s Colony to mark the martyrdom Day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the first Industry Minister of Independent India and the founding president of the Jan Sangh. Dr. Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey, national president, All India Jan Sangh, presided over the meeting. Madheshwar Nath Pandey welcomed the distinguished guests while Jai Prakash Tiwari conducted the meeting and Narmeshwar Upadhayaya extended vote of thanks.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was a great educationist, skilled organizer and administer. At the young age of thirty-three, he became the Vice-Chancellor of the Kolkata University. The services rendered by him to the country as a member of the Bengal Legislative Council, Finance Minister of Bengal, member of the Constituent Assembly and the first Industry Minister of Independent India are unforgettable. Dr. Pandey further said that in the interest of the country, he resigned from the post of minister and formed Jan Sangh, a nationalist-realist alternative to Nehruvian policies and through this he raised the consciousness of the entire country through the Kashmir movement and to protect it, he surrendered in Srinagar jail. Acharya Bharat Bhushan stated that the history of the Jan Sangh is full of movements and sacrifices. Fighting for the national interest is the essence of the Jan Sangh.
He said that the workers of the Jan Sangh do not worry about victory or defeat. On the strength of their special character and thinking, they remained active and service in the field continuously. For the protection of half of the Punjab, half of Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee will always be remembers. He added that the Jan Sangh is the only living memorial of Dr. Mukherjee and strengthening it would be a true tribute to Dr. Mukherjee.
Advocate Satyendra Narayan Singh and litterateur Dr. Satuya Narayan Upadhayaya described Dr. Mukherjee as a visionary politician and a true son of Mother India and said that today’s central government is also taking advantage of the policies of Dr. Mukherjee and the Jan Sangh. District President, Jan Sangh, Madheshwar Nath Pandey and advocate Jai Prakash Tiwari said that the dedication festival will be celebrated by the Jan Sangh from today’s sacrifice day to 21st October’s foundation day under which help of ten rupees and ten votes will be requested from each and every person.
Vishwanath Dubey, Akhileshwar Nath Tiwari, Siya Ram Dubey, Kumar Saurabh, Mahendra Pandey, Virendra Prasad Srivastava and others also paid emotional tributes to Dr. Mukherjee and pledged to strengthen the Jan Sangh.
