STERN ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK PLACES
On the continuous complaints regarding sexual harassment at the work places in government and private offices, Bhojpur district administration constituted an Internal Complaint Committee to deal with such complaints.
Ara, 27 May 2023, (RNI): On the continuous complaints regarding sexual harassment at the work places in government and private offices, Bhojpur district administration constituted an Internal Complaint Committee to deal with such complaints. If a complaint is received regarding sexual harassment against the fair sexes at the private and government offices and if the Internal Complaint Committee finds the complaint correct, stern action will be taken against the guilty.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a six member Internal Complaint Committee has been constituted under the DSP, Headquarter, Binod Kumar Singh The other members of the committee are Kumari Vandana, law and order cell-in-charge, Nitu Priya, SHO, Woman Police Station, Suryavanti Devi, clerk Special Cell-in-charge, Ritu Kumari, auditor, Bihar Police Men’s Association, Smita Kumari, Law and Consultant Officer.
The SP said that the members of the committee have been directed to take immediate action against the guilty if any case or complaint of sexual harassment is received so that the victim could get justice at the earliest.
The SP stated that if a victim wished to register complaint, the Internal Complaint Committee will help and ensure that the victim and the witness should not be harassed. A victim can register complaint on mobile, through fax and post.
