One youth was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Nagendrapur under Rajpur police station on Chausa-Mohania main road in Buxar district today. Later the police truck driver escaped with the truck after the incident.

BUXAR---------------------------One youth was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Nagendrapur under Rajpur police station on Chausa-Mohania main road in Buxar district today. Later the police truck driver escaped with the truck after the incident. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Saddam Ansari son of Muslim Ansari of Kharagpura village. Irate people blocked the Chausa-Mohania main road with the body of the deceased and paralyzed movement of vehicle for about three hours. They burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the district administration. They were demanding arrest of the driver of the truck and compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after assurance of the BDO Ashok Kumar to give compensation. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
SHO Rajpur police station said that Saddam Ansari’s wife Rafiyhat Begun had to come to Ara to fill up the form for scholarship and he had come to the bus stand from Kharagpur to Nagendrapura to board his wife on the bus for Buxa. After boarding his wife on the bus, he was returning home when a speeding truck crushed him to death near Nagendrapura under Rajpur police station on Chausa-Mohania main road at about 7am. The driver fled away with the truck from the scene after the incident. Hearing the news of the death of the husband, Rafiyat Begun returned home.
