A speeding truck crushed to death a youth near Nanaur village under Sahar police station on Sahar-Sakaddi main road in Bhojpur district in the evening and the driver escaped from the scene with the truck after the incident.

ARA--------------------------A speeding truck crushed to death a youth near Nanaur village under Sahar police station on Sahar-Sakaddi main road in Bhojpur district in the evening and the driver escaped from the scene with the truck after the incident. The deceased was identified as Sanjay Yadav 38 son of Dhupa Yadav of Nanaur village under Sahar police station. The worked as sand labour at Sand Ghat No 26 B at Nanaur village. Irate villagers blocked the road near Nanaur village with the body and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about two hours. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the driver of the truck and compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after the positive assurance of the police officers for compensation. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Jag Narayan Yadav, elder brother of the deceased said that after taking meal in the late evening, Sanjay Yadav went to the sand Ghat 26 B but on the way, a speeding truck crushed him to death. He survived by his wife Neera Devi, two daughters Khushi Kumari, Puja Kumari, two sons Akash Kumar and Aditya Kumar.
