SPEEDING TRUCK CRUSHED A PERSON TO DEATH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA--------------------------A speeding truck crushed to death a person near Bahiyara village under Chandi police station on Koelwar-Chandi main road in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Dhrum Kumar 38 son of Shankar Ram of Bahiyara village. He was a plumber by profession. As the news spread, the villagers became agitated and blocked the Koelwar-Chandi main road near Bahiyara village with the body of the deceased for about three hours and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after positive response of the police officials and the Koelwar BDO and the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

SHO Chandi police station said that Dhrum Kumar was returning home on his motorcycle after day long work and as he reached in front of Sand Ghat near Pahadi Baba at Cluster 04 under Chandi police station, a speeding truck going to the sand ghat to upload sand, dashed the motorcycle from behind and injured him. The villagers and the family members rushed him to the Ara Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
