ARA----------------------A speeding car crushed to death a middle aged person near Bagawa village under Gadhani police station on Ara-Sasaram State Highway and also overturned into a ditch nearby. The deceased was identified as Kameshwar Sah 54 son of late Suraj Sah of Bagawa village. Irate villagers blocked the Ara-Sasaram Sate Highway with the body of the deceased and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased. After the police response of the police and the BDO, the blockade could be lifted. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
The villagers said that Kameshwar Sah had gone to the field to attend call of nature and when he was returning, a speeding car from Ara crushed him to death and also overturned into a ditch. The villagers blocked the road with the body. The SHO Gadhani police station Ranveer Kumar came to the spot and tried to persuade the village but they were unmoved. Later the Gadhani BDO Archana Kumari and assured the villagers that Rs.5 lakh would be sent to the bank account of the family member of the deceased after the transport department submit its inquiry report.
